Property planning can be overwhelming, so the ability to get started quickly from the comfort of your own home leads many people to plan.
While EcoWill's free online tools can provide appropriate property planning solutions for many Americans, we recognize that they are no substitute for local professional consultation and more complex situations, such as mixed families. Or suitable for people with large properties. That's why we actively encourage these users to seek advice and give them the option to print a set of “documented wishes."
A summary of their primary state plan wishes, which they can bring with them to their lawyer. Suppose any of your clients get a printout of their documentary wishes. In that case, it is because they have to arrange their affairs in the comfort of their own home before working with you to establish legal documents—used EcoWill.
Choosing a lawyer can be a daunting task. That's why we also provide clients with links to several resource-seeking attorneys, including the ACTEC Fellows Directory and the American Bar Association's "Higher A Lawyer" page. We also know that even for Americans who have experienced counseling, finding the most efficient way to update positions that benefit their no probable assets can be a challenge. That's why we launched our Beneficiaries product. This product asks a series of questions that help consumers find out how to document these assets and how to name or update their beneficiaries. These guidelines are regularly updated to reflect any changes to the form or process by the financial custodians of the assets. This Beneficiaries product is free for anyone to use, regardless of whether they use the rest of our free state planning suite.
EcoWill is fortunate to have the continued support and expertise of legal scholars and practicing lawyers from across the country. We are expanding this support network through our EcoWill Fellows program.
EcoWill Fellows is a group of attorneys specializing in state planning, committed to increasing Americans' access to law, promoting innovation in legal services, and increasing charitable giving.
